The Theme

The theme for the 2016 Annual Assembly will be 'Future-Thinking in FCERM' - a call to the Flood Risk Management Community to consider the innovative approaches to building flood-resilient societies in a time of environmental change.

The Content

The event will be headlined by Prof Hailey Fowler, Professor of Climate Change Impacts Newcastle University and Phil Younge, FCRM, Environment Agency.  They will be leading us in exploring what the future of Flood Risk Management will look like within the context of our changing climate, and our ever-advancing technological capabilities.

Networking, time for collaboration and a return of the 2-minute presentations were what you asked us for more of and our 2016 programme will deliver all of these elements!

We'll be setting aside specific time to look at tools such as Crowd Sourcing and Citizen Science, Multi-event modelling and ommunincation tools for flood risk management with a view to exploring what practioners need and how we can better utilise new technologies in our flood risk managment remit.

Information on how to get involved in the 2-min presentations can be found on the Eventbrite Registration page.    You can view the full programme using this link, or by opening the flyer below.
