Scotland’s Centre of Expertise for Waters (CREW) Develop New Flood and Coastal Erosion Network

2014-05-01

Scotland’s Centre of Expertise for Waters (CREW) delivers accessible research and expert opinion to support Scottish Government and its delivery partners in the development and implementation of water policy in Scotland. The main policy areas include the Water Framework Directive, Flooding Directive, and Scotland’s Hydro Nation Strategy with links to cross cutting policies such as those relating to agriculture and climate change.

CREW has recently established a theme specifically on Flood Risk Management and Coastal Erosion. This is supported by a network of the key policy and practice leads in Scotland. The main aim of this network is to identify knowledge gaps, prioritise research need and coordinate policy relevant research. The FCERM is a key link and CREW will present on its Flood Risk Management and Coastal Erosion theme at the General Assembly in June. For more information visit CREW's website.
